Do I need to open an account or pre-register?
No. All you need to do is dial our landline access number starting with 020 number and PRESS 1 to top-up by £5. Alternatively, you can send a text message starting with the keyword (4-9 characters keyword which you can find in our adverts in newspapers, radio etc) to 81616. You will then receive a text message from us confirming that your mobile phone has been charged with £5, and your Auracall T-Talk account has been credited with £5.
I now have my Auracall T-Talk credit. How do I dial an international number?
First dial your access number which you received in the confirmation text message, for example 0208 497 3000, followed by your destination number. Please wait to be connected or press #.
How much will a call cost to the 020 access number?
The cost of a call to the landline access number will be charged at your network’s standard rate to a landline or may be used as part of your monthly inclusive minutes.
Why do I need to press the # button?
Dialling # after the international number lets our system know that you have finished dialling, and will increase the speed of connection. If you forget to press # you will still be connected. Do not press the green button (or the dial button on your keypad) after dialling your international number.
Are the rates the same at any time of the day?
Yes, Auracall T-Talk cheap international call prices are the same at any time and on any network.
Is there a daily charge or connection fee?
There are no daily charges on Auracall T-Talk. There is a one off connection fee of 0.5p to 20p, depending on destination. Credit expires 3 months from your last top-up.
Can I use my Auracall T-Talk international calling credit from a landline or another mobile phone?
Yes. Please call our support line on 084 4545 3555 (Mon-Fri, 9.30am to 5.30pm) to obtain your pin. From October 2008 onwards, all new users should receive their pin automatically after their first top-up. Please note that it is your responsibility to keep this pin safe.
Can I deactivate my pin?

What is the access number to access Auracall T-Talk international calling credit from a landline or another mobile phone?
You can use either 0208 497 3001 (English language) or 0208 497 3030 (Polish language). Then enter your pin followed by your international destination number followed by # for faster connection.
What will happen when my Auracall T-Talk calling credit is running low when I am using the pin from another phone?
Your main mobile account which you first use to topped-up with us will be automatically top-up by £5. You will receive a SMS notification on the main mobile account informing you of the charge.
Can I call mobile phones in another country?
Yes. You can use your Auracall T-Talk account to make cheap international call to landlines and mobiles in any country in the world. Just dial your access number followed by your full international destination number. Please check rates on our website.
I am having problems dialling certain destination numbers. Who should I contact?
Please call our customer services on 084 4545 3555 Monday – Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

I have been charged the full international rate on my bill instead of the low cost Auracall rate. What should I do?
If you have been charged the full international rate and your international calls are showing on your telephone bill, it means that your calls are being routed via your mobile operator and not via us. This could happen if you have unconsciously press the green button (or the dial button) again after entering your international number. If you press the green (or dial) button twice (i.e. once after our access number and again after the international number), your mobile will disconnect you from your initial call to our 020 access number and connect you directly abroad via your mobile network. To prevent this from happening, you should bar international calling on your mobile.
What is automatic top-up?
Auracall T-Talk automatic top-up is an option that allows you to update your account credit automatically when your credit runs low. You will hear a warning message 30 seconds before the automatic top-up takes place. You can either hang up and top-up your account manually or continue talking on the phone. If you choose to stay on the line when your credit is low, your mobile will be automatically charged £5. At the same time your Auracall T-Talk account will be credited with £5. You will also receive a text message confirming that your mobile has been charged.
I have not received a confirmation message. Was my mobile charged?
No. The confirmation message is proof that you have been charged. If you have not received this message we were not able to charge you. This could mean that you do not have sufficient credit on your mobile or there are network delays. If you have any questions please call our customer services on 0844 545 3555 Monday – Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
I have PRESS 1 many times or sent lots of messages to 81616 to top-up my account but none of them work. What should I do?
If you are sending a text, please check that you sent the correct keyword to the correct number. You should also make sure that your mobile phone SMS inbox has not exceeded its limit. Otherwise, try switching off and then switching on your handset and send the message again. You should also avoid pressing 1 too many times as it may confuse the system. If you are a pay as you go user you need to have a minimum of £5.20 on your account. If all of these failed, you should contact your mobile network operator as your phone may be locked from access to Premium Rate SMS. I have PRESS 1 many times or sent lots of messages but I would like to be charged only once.
Please do not PRESS 1 more than once or send more than one text message every three hours. Top-up request and text messages older than 4 hours will not be charged. Your mobile can be charged only twice per day.
I blocked my account by sending STOP. What should I do now?
If you send a text message with the keyword STOP to 81616, you are placed on a black list. You will not be able to automatically top-up your cheap international call account or receive any updates/messages from us but you can use all of your remaining credit. To gain access to our automatic top-up services and to receive updates from us, text START to 81616. To top-up your cheap international call account manually, PRESS 1 when dialling our access number or send a text request to us with keyword to 81616. You will receive a confirmation message of your request to top-up.
How can I switch off the automatic top-up when I buy online?
You can switch off the automatic top-up option when you buy online anytime by emailing us from this website stating your full name and your mobile number. Our customer service advisor will call you back to confirm the automatic top-up option has been switched off. You can reactivate this option by writing to us again. Please note that we will attempt to charge your mobile via £5 reverse SMS billing and you need to text AUTOOFF to 81616 to deactivate this option.
I have stopped my automatic top-up by sending AUTOOFF to 81616. I would like to activate this option again. What should I do?
You can activate automatic top-up by texting AUTOON to 81616. You can deactivate automatic top-up later on by texting AUTOOFF to 81616. Please note that this does not apply to automatic top-up online.

How do I use CrazyTel?
Simply call the recharge number 0904 971 0971 to credit your telephone number with £1. Then dial the access number 0208 497 0971 and follow the prompts.
Why did the number I specified fail to receive credit?
Firstly, ensure the number you want to credit is a valid UK number. It must start with 0. Do not use a country code. It should be 10 or 11 digits long. For example 02071234567. Do not use any other characters e.g. * or #.
How do I sign up to CrazyTel?
To use CrazyTel you don't need to register.Simply call the recharge number 0904 971 0971 to credit your telephone number with £1. Then dial the access number
Are there any administration, subscription or other fees when using CrazyTel?
The price stated on the CrazyTel access number is all-inclusive. There is a connection fee when the call abroad is answered but no further subscription costs etc. on top of the cost per minute, as advertised on our website. The advertised rates are for all costs including VAT and the costs for the international connection.
How much does a call to COUNTRY X cost?
You can check the rates on the website. This is the price per minute for your call and includes VAT and the costs for the international part of the call.
What if I want to call a city that does not appear when I check the rates list?
Then the country rate will apply. For example: if a rate for CANADA MONTREAL does not appear on the list, then you will be charged the rate listed for CANADA when you call CANADA MONTREAL.
Are there peak and off-peak rates?
The charges are one flat rate, the access number is local rate and the recharge number costs £1 every time you call to credit your telephone number from a home (or office) BT line. Check with your telephone provider, if not BT, how much they charge for the recharge number.
Can I use CrazyTel from my mobile?
Yes, you can. However be aware that you may be surcharged by your mobile operator. How much you will be charged depends on your mobile operator and which tariff you subscribed to. Please note that your mobile operator controls this rate on their billing system. We, unfortunately, have no influence on what they may charge, nor do we receive any monies from any surcharges. We advise you to contact your mobile phone provider and double check their rates to our recharge and access numbers.
Can I use the CrazyTel access numbers outside the UK?
Our access numbers will only work in the United Kingdom. So if you live abroad or if you are on holiday outside the UK you cannot make use of CrazyTel services.
I am a NTL or Virgin customer, can I use CrazyTel?
The CrazyTel access and recharge numbers can be used from most landlines including NTL or Telewest. The billing process for our access and recharge numbers works exactly the same as with BT; the charges will simply appear on your NTL or Telewest bill. NTL and Telewest should charge the same rates as BT for our access and recharge numbers. However if you would like to check their rates please visit the NTL or Telewest websites. Should you encounter a problem with your NTL or Telewest bill please contact them directly as they control the rates to our access and recharge numbers on their own billing systems.
When do call charges take effect?
You will be charged the call rate from the moment you are connected to our service. This is to enable our customers to benefit from no registration, low prices and access from all networks, we unfortunately cannot change this. However, for your protection, should your call not be answered within two minutes, you will be informed by our operator and disconnected. There is a connection fee also, which applies from the moment your call is answered at the other end.
Can I receive an itemised bill from CrazyTel?
The onward international calls will not be itemised on your bill. As your normal telephone provider bills you for the calls, not CrazyTel. You will be able to view what your telephone supplier provides you with. To offer our customers the lowest possible rates, we cannot supply itemised call lists.
I have been overcharged by CrazyTel!
CrazyTel cannot overcharge you. The rates to our access numbers are set by Ofcom, the UK telecommunications regulator. It is common practise for all landline service providers to adhere to the charges set by Ofcom. However, the rates you are actually charged on your bill depend on the prices your service provider has configured on their billing system. We unfortunately have no influence on their billing system, nor do we receive a penny extra of any surcharge. In this eventuality, we advise you to contact your service provider to protest your bill. Should your service provider not settle the issue satisfactorily you can contact Ofcom – check their website for their number.
How do I contact customer services?
In order to keep our prices so low, we do not have an expensive call centre. Any questions you may call us on our support line on 084 4545 3555 9:30am – 5pm UK time.
When I phone someone abroad will they be charged for the call as well?
They will not be charged by us, no. Normally the person receiving a call will not be charged. However if they are abroad with their mobile (i.e. not in the country the mobile number originates from), then their mobile provider could charge them for receiving calls whilst abroad, known as “roaming” charges. For more information they need to contact their mobile provider.
